What is better, Fixed Hours? or Pay as you Go?Generally for the best all round experience we would recommend fixed hours. This provides the most certainty at both ends - you know exactly who is on your team and exactly when they will be working. This also presents the best value. As an example we would match you with a team member who has the skills and experience that you need. We would agree a fixed monthly price based on a fixed number of hours and your new team member would be available to work and perform tasks exclusively for you during those hours. Pay as you Go is also an option, this involves drawing on a pool of workers whenever you need assistance. This does provide lots of flexibility but it does mean you may not always be working with the same person and the rates are likely to be slightly more expensive per hour. We are always happy to discuss all options and tailor an agreement which works best for you.

How exactly do I communicate with somebody working remotely?It is exactly the same as if you had an existing employee working from home or another office. During the Covid-19 Lockdown Period it became commonplace to have teams working from home, many still do. You can communicate with your new team member however you wish. This could be by email, on the phone, video calls or any other convenient service. From experience using something like Microsoft Teams keeps everything in one place and makes it very easy to manage teams who are working remotely.

What do we do if there is a problem?Obviously we hope this is never something which will happen. You have the ability to fully manage your new team member and mould them to work in the most effective way that works for you. If for any reason there is ever a problem you have the safety net of our UK support team who are always on hand to assist with anything.

Can we give the team member their own email address with our branding?Absolutely, your new team member will seamlessly integrate with your team. You can provide them with their own email address with your own domain name. Or if you prefer they can simply use their designated @YourFlexiTeam email address.

Do I have to buy any computer equipment or software?This is another hidden benefit. All of our team have their own computer or laptop with Microsoft Windows including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and anti virus software. You do not need to buy any computer equipment and you will only pay for any software subscriptions you need for your own purposes, exactly as you would with a UK employee.

Will we always work with the same person?We find that taking a team member on board generally works best if you have the consistency of working with the same person every time. They grow and develop with you and you can ensure they do things just as you like. If you choose Pay As You Go (rather than fixed hours) it is likely you will not be working with the same person each time as you will be drawing from a pool of workers. As with all industries personnel may change occasionally, however whenever possible we will endeavour to keep you consistently connected with the same person throughout.

You can also correspond by email and you may already have a shared server for which you can provide the appropriate level of access as you see fit.
